Job Summary
The Program Director leads Be-BLAC Foundation’s full portfolio of programs and plays a key role in shaping the organization’s next stage of growth. This position oversees program operations, manages partnerships, leads grant reporting, and collaborates with leadership to strengthen systems, expand impact, and support long-term sustainability.
This is a community-facing role that requires strong coordination skills, comfort working across multiple program areas, and a commitment to advancing equitable outcomes for Black youth, families, and entrepreneurs in Marion and Polk County.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight & Operations
- Manage daily operations of Be-BLAC Foundation’s youth, business development, and community programs.
- Support program staff and contractors, providing clear direction and consistent communication.
- Design and implement educational programs and curricula that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Build systems that strengthen consistency across programs, including workflow, scheduling, and data tracking.
- Oversee program calendars, logistics, and deliverables across multiple sites and partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with schools, partners, and community organizations.
- Represent Be-BLAC Foundation in meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives.
Data Collection, Grant Management, & Reporting
- Track grant deliverables, performance metrics, and program outcomes.
- Lead grant reporting in partnership with the contracted grant writing team.
- Maintain organized systems for data collection and documentation.
- Analyze program data to inform decision-making and improve program outcomes.
Cross-Partner Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners and collaborators.
- Coordinate communication, resolve issues, and support partners in meeting shared goals.
- Grow and maintain partnerships that expand Be-BLAC Foundation’s reach.
Budget & Contract Oversight
- Monitor program budgets and spending
- Prepare updates for leadership and board meetings
- Support onboarding and communication for contractors and program partners.
Program Development & Future Planning
- Work with leadership to strengthen and expand programs based on community needs.
- Help refine curricula and facilitate training for youth and business development programs.
- Support development of new initiatives, pipelines, and long-term program strategy.
- Draft recommendations to leadership for process improvements and future investments.
- Participate in community listening and engagement efforts to keep programming culturally responsive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Nonprofit Management, Social Services, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program management, community-based programs, or related fields.
- Experience with grant management, reporting, and data tracking required.
- Strong relationship-building skills with diverse communities, especially Black youth and families.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Experience facilitating groups, training, or workshops.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, community-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and basic data tools.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, depending on program needs.
- Must pass a background check.
Work Environment
This role is based in Salem with regular in-person responsibilities across Marion and Polk counties. The position includes both office-based work and on-site program support. Reliable transportation is required.
