We’ve had another incredible month as we continue to deepen our connections within the community. We kicked off May with an Intro event—this time with Black and African American staff from the Salem-Keizer School District—hosted at the Withnell Family YMCA. These events help spread awareness about our organization while creating space for meaningful and sometimes challenging conversations.
As the school year wrapped up, we were thrilled to participate in multicultural fairs and events, sharing more about who we are. We also hosted our first Family Night—a community bowling event—which brought us together to highlight our Youth and Education pillar. These gatherings help illustrate how we aim to serve as both a bridge and a resource for the future of our kids.
Looking ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with us this summer! Find us at events like the Salem-Keizer NAACP Juneteenth Celebration and the Cultural Harvest Collective Farmers Market.
If you haven’t joined us for a Family Night yet,
come out on June 8—plus, be sure to RSVP for our upcoming Library Night and Kroc Center Family Nights.
We’re also excited to open our physical office this month—stop by and say hello! And mark your calendars for August 23, when we’ll partner with Pentacle Theatre to host our very first Benefit Fundraiser featuring Hairspray the Musical.
Tickets are available below—we’d love to see you there!
